The problem of today

Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) affects half of women over the age of 40, causing symptoms that can seriously impact their quality of life. POP is a condition that occurs as a result of weakening of the pelvic support structures, allowing one or more pelvic organs (uterus, bladder, rectum) to drop or press into or out of the vagina. POP results from a combination of childbirth injury, genetics, aging, and conditions involving high abdominal pressure (straining, coughing, obesity). Current treatment options, such as surgery and generic pessaries, have limitations and complications which leads to discontinuation rates of up to 50%.

Our solution for tomorrow

Saturn Pelvic Health offers a personalized solution by providing our new device Flexsupp with a perfect fit and optimal support for each patient’s complex, unique anatomy. Its adaptability ensures patient comfort and effectiveness, hence reducing side effects and the likelihood of treatment discontinuation.

Saturn Pelvic Health - Problem of today

Saturn Pelvic Health is focussing on the development of personalized treatment solutions for people with pelvic floor disorders

Mission

To empower people by revolutionizing pelvic floor health care. We are committed to providing innovative, effective, and accessible solutions that enhance the quality of life and autonomy of people with pelvic floor disorders.

Vision

To create a world where the quality of life and autonomy of people with pelvic floor disorders is significantly improved.

The unmet need

Pessary therapy for pelvic floor disorders lacks in personalized fitting, leading to high discontinuation rates and limited self-management options. Current pessary designs do not adequately accommodate the complex shape of the pelvic floor, resulting in multiple fitting attempts and discomfort.

Market

Half of women over 40 years experience some degree of pelvic organ prolapse, corresponding to approximately 80 million people in Europe. 1 out of every 10 women experiences serious symptoms due to POP that require treatment. The increasing ageing population leads to increasing demand for effective treatment of POP.
